Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly shaping students’ personal and learning practices. When students lack AI literacy—that is, the ability to engage critically, ethically, and effectively with AI technologies—it can impact their study success, motivation, and future professional behaviour.
This session responds to the growing need as well as teachers’ increasing interest in embedding AI literacy within our curricula. The session aims to foster an exchange among teachers about what AI literacy means for higher education, how it connects to disciplinary goals, and how it can be meaningfully integrated into classroom practice.
Through interactive activities, CELT experts will introduce examples and selected materials from the CELT Resource Hub on AI in Education, facilitating teachers in developing AI literacy within their courses. Participants will share their own experiences, questions, and examples, contributing to a collective understanding of how AI literacy can be developed across different programmes and disciplines.
Insights from the session will inform the further development of CELT’s resources on AI in education, while providing participants with practical inspiration and concrete ideas to take forward.
