Lisa Timmerman appointed managing director of ITC Faculty

The Executive Board of the University of Twente has appointed Lisa Timmerman as Managing Director of the ITC Faculty (Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation). Her appointment will take effect on 1 September 2026 and runs for a four-year term until 1 September 2030. Timmerman has been serving in this role on an interim basis since January 2026. During that period, she has gained extensive experience with the governance and organisational challenges facing ITC.

As Managing Director, Timmerman is a member of the ITC Faculty Board. The board also consists of the Dean and the Vice-Deans for Education and Research, who together are responsible for the faculty’s strategic direction, governance and day-to-day management. Within the board, the Managing Director focuses primarily on operational management and organisational development.

Timmerman has worked at ITC since 2018, where she previously held positions as Business Controller and Portfolio Manager. Prior to joining the University of Twente, she held various roles at Siemens Netherlands. In 2023, Timmerman completed her Executive MBA at TSM Business School. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Saxion University of Applied Sciences.
