At ITC, I found an academic setting that matches perfectly what I was looking for. Being surrounded by people from all over the world, all working on different spatial challenges, has been amazing. Backed by the support of the ITC Excellence Scholarship and the NL Scholarship, this experience has shown me that pursuing this master’s is truly possible, and that there are several opportunities in place to aid students who are willing to take this step.
To strengthen my professional background, I have always wanted to pursue an international postgraduate degree in the field of geo-information, and the excellent recommendations from ITC alumni in Nepal who are leading the geospatial sector paved my journey to the Faculty ITC.
The ITC faculty is a great choice for me to deepen my knowledge in the environmental field. Studying abroad is a new academic journey with some challenging issues, but I found it a new chance to promote my professional academic situation which gives me a chance to build my international network.
Pursuing in an advanced education abroad had always been my dream, but the financial barrier had stopped me to move beyond. I am really thankful to have been awarded the ITC Excellence Scholarship, which helped me accomplish this goal. Without the support, it would have never been possible for me to be here and concentrate solely on studies.
My experience at ITC so far has been very positive. The programme is intensive but very well designed, with a strong balance between theory and hands-on applications in projects, group work and real-world case studies. Being taught by experts who are actively involved in international research and development projects is very inspiring and helps connect classroom content to current global challenges.
To further develop my knowledge and skills in this field, I decided to pursue a Master’s degree. The Master’s program in Geoinformation Science and Earth Observation, with a specialization in Disaster Resilience, aligned perfectly with my goals. Its intensive curriculum, technical focus, and excellent faculty matched my aspirations, and I knew this was exactly what I wanted to pursue.
The future already looks exciting and promising with the quality education that I am receiving here in ITC. My future plan is to own a geospatial consulting company, which will give vital and valid geospatial advise to stakeholders in the field of natural resources management across the globe.
Thanks to the ITC Excellence Scholarship and the NL Scholarship, I can pursue my studies and fully engage with the advanced resources and academic environment at ITC. The best part of my education program is its emphasis on real-world project collaboration.
