It may be one, 10 or even 60 years since they left, but ITC’s former students still have a strong bond with the Institute and the Netherlands, and still keep in touch with ITC and friends from their student days.
ITC alumni belong to a worldwide community of over 25,000 individuals, who together form an extensive network of international contacts, a network that includes United Nations organisations, universities, research groups, resources survey and map production services, and various international professional associations. The ITC alumni community is an unique combination of students, staff and alumni and this is a crucial asset in serving society. We cherish the power of our worldwide alumni network, leveraging it for the advancement of science, and for addressing societal challenges.
The alumni network is brought closer to our daily activities by involving them as local experts to contribute to our academic programs, and as problem owner in the context of challenge-based learning. Engagement with the alumni network is also done by involving alumni as private sector partners in our institutional strengthening activities and projects. Every batch that graduates will enlarge our impact globally and our graduates are proud ambassadors wherever they go.

Duccio Monaci Naldini | Italy "After 10 years I am still keeping the good friends I met during that experience, as well as the important knowledge learned during the course." - Elizabeth Olive Wuyep | Nigeria “Studying at ITC makes one stay focused and independent. When it comes to remote sensing and GIS, ITC is the best place to study. During my stay at ITC, I learnt how to use software such as ILWIS, ArcGIS, Surfer8, Oasis Montaj, SPSS and ENVI for analysing data. For my project, I worked on the initiative Regional Mineral Exploration in the Moura Area, Alentejo, Portugal.”
Hari Krishna Dhonju | Nepal “Having an ITC degree made it very easy for me to find a job, as ITC is known to produce competent and independent junior researchers. Currently I am working as a GIS application developer at ICIMOD, Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal.”
Herve Lahamy | Benin "After my exciting studies at ITC, I worked as a Geomatics Engineer in the Department of Mapping and Surveying at the National Surveying and Mapping Agency of Benin Republic. Having done my MSc at ITC helped a lot for being accepted a PhD student."
Jigme Wangmo | Bhutan “I now work as a supervisor in the project department of DrukGreen Power Corporation, where I’ve been implementing all the things I learnt at ITC.” - Lucia Luzi | Italy “I am a senior researcher at the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia, where I am responsible for national and International projects. I use GIS principally to study the variability of ground motion induced by earthquakes.”

I am currently employed at ERM in Italy. My group is assisting oil and gas companies in planning, perforations, pipeline routing and plant location, with a focus on environmental, social and health aspects.” - Testimonials
