Are you looking for an extra challenge, or are you interested in building your resume? Listed below are examples of extra curricular activities you could get involved in during your time at university.
If you are registered at a Dutch university, you have the opportunity to sign up for courses outside of your regular programme at no additional cost. If you are interested in taking extra classes within the Industrial Design programme, within another University of Twente faculty, or at annother Dutch university, contact one of the study advisors. You can also get more information at http://www.kiesopmaat.nl.
Each year, Kennispark Twente gives a limited number of students the opportunity to fill a Temporary Entrepreneurship Position (Tijdelijke Ondernemers Plaatsen (TOP)). These positions are meant to help starting entrepreneurs with innovative ideas get through the first, and most challenging, year of entrepreneurship. Are you a starting entrepreneur with the goal of growing your business during and after your studies? Check out the TOP program.
Are you interested in an ID related part-time job? UT flex is the University of Twente's digital employment agency for faculty and students. Supply and demand are connected through this platform.
Are you especially talented, intellectually curious and motivated? Looking for an academic challenge? Check out: https://www.utwente.nl/excellentie/en/
Become active within the ID department. Get involved in your study association (committees and the board look for new members each year), or become a student member of a faculty committee. Ask around within the faculty to see what your options are.
You can also be active within sport, culture, and social associations, filling positions in committees or as a member of the association’s board. For more information, check out the Student Union website.
