Lecture description:

Some young and less young female members of FFNT have expressed their interest to commercialize or at least to know sufficiently aspects of the process involved to do so. This might enlarge their vision and look beyond their research technical work. Their specific questions will be addressed and responded during this lunch-lecture by Prof. Groen whose expertise on high tech developments and commercialization jointly with the gender perspective (Femstar project) will be focused to questions like:

- How to commercially sell your ideas?

- How to get the right network?

- Where do you find the companies that are interested in your research?

- What can “Kennispark” (Knowledge park) Twente and/or the UT do for you?

- How to get a more ‘entrepreneurial’ attitude / get the right mind set to see what can be valorised?

For an entrepreneurial university like UT, those are interesting questions in order to have some clues on how to enhance the staff and students’ skills in the business issues. This can be a good opportunity to match gender aspects, as well.
