A crucial aspect for a successful scientific career is the acquisition of projects. Therefore it is highly important to know where to find the programmes for funding research. In this context, the Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) promotes scientific research at Dutch universities and institutes through nearly 120 different research programmes and grants. In this talk Helga Varwijk introduces some of the NWO programmes with a special focus on furthering women's research careers. The main topics will be the well-known 'Vernieuwingsimpuls' (Innovational Research Incentives Scheme) and Rubicon which is a programme for short postdoc research in an international context.
