Founding Father of ASML – Martin van den Brink Interview

After finishing his study Applied Physics at the University of Twente Martin van den Brink joined ASML from the beginning. Van den Brink played a key role in driving ASML’s technology and innovation success. Among many other achievements Van den Brink invented the Mask-to-Wafer alignment method that is still used today. Van den Brink rose through the ranks to become Chief Technology Officer and President, and in the process helped to shape the entire semiconductor industry. Van den Brink retired as President and CTO of ASML in April 2024, but remains active as an advisor to the Board.
