Did you know that almost three quarters of Dutch student data is stored by American tech companies? Professor of internet security, Prof dr Roland van Rijswijk-Deij (UT), is shaking up the UT with a petition against Big Tech interference. He wonders whether we in the Netherlands can stand on our own digital feet. All the data we share via Facebook or WhatsApp also ends up in America. Dave Borghuis, privacy expert and founder of hackerspace TkkrLab, is committed to making people digitally critical and skilled. He himself caught the municipality of Enschede misusing Wi-Fi tracking.
