On April 15-17, 2026, the first STS NL Conference will take place at the University of Twente, preceded by an early-stage researcher event on April 14. The conference addresses ‘Knowledge and Technologies in Times of Global Shifts” and assembles researchers interested in Science and Technology Studies, from the Netherlands and abroad. Around 260 contributions – presentations, workshops and posters – are included in the programme, covering topics such as transformation of knowledge and research practices, digitalisation & AI, health, energy, futures, ethics, politics and power.
The conference is hosted by the BMS-KiTeS group and organised jointly with WTMC, the Netherlands Research School for Science, Technology and Modern Culture.
