Why do some people start exercising and stick with it, while others give up (quickly)? How do you get and stay motivated? Mariska van Sprundel provides well-founded tips. She has a background in biology and biomedical sciences and is a running coach. She has written several books, including Door de barrière (Through the Barrier). This book is about mental strategies that can help you when the going gets tough during a race. It also covers dealing with injuries and different forms of motivation. One thing is clear: physical strength alone is not enough. Highly recommended in the run-up to the Batavierenrace.
