Symposium mathematics and sustainabililty

Every year, the study association for Applied Mathematics, Abacus, organizes a symposium. The theme of this year is Mathematics and Sustainability. The symposium will be held on the 2nd of June at the University of Twente.

Sustainability

Environmental sustainability is becoming an increasingly important topic today. During the symposium, we will welcome five speakers from universities and private companies who will talk about the role of mathematics in sustainability. The recurring theme will be People, Profit, Planet. The symposium will cover subjects like climate modelling, efficient energy grids and closing production chains, but also smart workforce planning. For more information, take a look at our presentations.
