Are we free to choose in matters of love? De Nederlandse Reisopera will perform a very modern and straightforward version of the classical opera Così fan tutte by Mozart on the 9th of February in Enschede. But how do you select a work for an opera company? Which one is the best director, able to make a fitting interpretation of the story? What is the motivation to ask certain solo singers? Who decides the form of the settings and costumes? In short, what is the making of this version of Così fan tutte? General and artistic director Nicolas Mansfield of De Nederlandse Reisopera will tell us all about it. We will also attend a part of the general rehearsal on Friday afternoon in the Wilminktheater.
