WATER FOOTPRINT FOR NATIONAL WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT & CLIMATE CHANGE ADAPTATION IN CHILE

The project "WATER SCENARIOS 2030" aims at bringing together the main agents on water management to stimulate discussion, inform and improve national water policy in the face of the challenges for climate change adaptation at the national level. As part of it, the project aims at stablishing baseline water consumptions at subnational level for the whole country for the main economic sectors: urban consumption, energy production, agriculture, forestry, industry and mining. The project aims to provide the national water agency and other public agencies with the methodological means to make these estimations and eventually prepare water scenarios for 2030 and 2050 under climate change.
