Abstract for the presentation:

Delta foreset morphology is directly related to sediment depositional processes behind the delta brinkpoint. We have developed a new model that describes the average distances that sediment particles travel before settling for a wide range of flow and sediment conditions. Experiments are carried out to quantify sediment excursion lenghts that are then used to validate the model.
