Research

Current Research: Compliant Shell Structures in Upper Extremity Exoskeletons

Development of an arm exoskeleton based on shell mechanisms, which are thin-walled structures that can move due to large elastic deflections. Shell mechanisms are characterized by a high degree of function integration and enable the creation of hollow, thin-walled mechanisms that are extremely slender, lightweight and robust.

Former Research: Injection moulding of highly filled thermoplastic compounds

  • Application of injection moulding simulation on highly filled, electrically conductive polyphenylene sulphide compounds based on process-oriented material data
  • Optimization of an injection moulding system by development of a process-calibrated model for electrically conductive thermo plastics
