Sander van Weperen was born and grew up in Winterswijk, in the east of the Netherlands. After the secondary school he studied at the University of Twente. In 2009 he received the BSc in Civil Engineering and Management. In 2013 he received his MSc in Civil Engineering and Management also at the University of Twente. During this study he specialized in transport engineering and management. In 2013 he started to work for the University of Twente as researcher.
