Tiago Fioreze was born in Tapera, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil on October 10, 1979.
He obtained his doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from the University of Twente on February 17, 2010. He also graduated in Computer Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 2005 (Master of Science) and from the Federal University of Santa Maria in 2003 (Bachelor).
His topic of interest includes smart cities, behavioural economics, network management and wireless technologies. In his spare time, Tiago Fioreze is enthusiastic about sports, specially cycling and running. He also enjoys traveling, going out, cooking and taking photographs.
Passionate about football as most Brazilian people, his favourite football team is Grêmio Foot-ball Porto Alegrense.
