Amelia Huang from our CTS group won the Best Paper Award. This paper was submitted to the ITS European Congress in Strasbourg.
During the first day of ITS European Congress, in the opening ceremony, the best papers were awarded. One scientific paper and two technical papers. Didier Gorteman, ERTICO – ITS Europe, (Chair) and Catherine Trautmann, Economic Development Vice-President for the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg, President of Strasbourg Autonomous Port, France awarded the best paper prize.
The Best Scientific Paper: “ Cycle2Work: An empirical study on potential personalised rewarding schemes delivered via smartphone technologies” by Bingyuan Huang and colleagues (Tiago Fioreze, Tom Thomas and Eric van Berkum) from the University of Twente Centre for Transport Studies, the Netherlands.
The judges said: “An innovative look at a common deployment problem – measuring how successful you have been. The paper reports on a study evaluating the potential effectiveness of incentives for cycling and describes a rigorous scientific method that could be applied in other sectors”.
