Every year, the University of Twente open its doors for the community to try their laboratories and prototypes in an event called Open Huis. The VISICO room had visualization prototypes and games that the visitors could interact and learn more about construction and engineering. The PhD researchers from VISICO tried to make their topics accessible to a general audience, especially the kids that come to visit the University. Carissa Champlin played a game about the future of Enschede, while Alexandr Vasenev invited visitors try his paving simulator. Léon old Scholtenhuis explained everything about how utility works are planned and executed in the city and Frederick van Amstel played a game about designing a hospital.
