Nonlinear Solid Mechanics (201400042)Focus on fundamentals of hyperelasticity and plasticity (in metals) and its application in Industry. Discussed in this course: kinematics, (deviatoric) stress tensor, strain tensor, deformation gradient, nonlinear strain measures, yield criteria, hardening models, constitutive models, Finite Element implementation, instability.
Aim: The aim of this research is to capture the unloading-reloading behaviour in a physically based material model. The underlying elastic and anelastic material behaviour, which is dependent on prior plastic deformation through the dislocation structure, must be implemented in modelling the loading-unloading-reloading cycle.(researcher: A.
