The section Applied Mechanics offers a broad spectrum of possibilities to be graduated in one of the three profiles Research and Development (R&D), Design and Construction (D&C) and Management & Organisation (M&O – only in combination with Dynamics based maintenance):
- Mechanics of forming processes (a.o. numerical and experimental research on manufacturing processes like deep drawing, extrusion and rolling),
- Dynamic behaviour of structures (theoretical and experimental research in the field of structural vibration and acoustics).
- Dynamics based maintenance (theoretical and experimental research of dynamics based lifetime assessment, damage failure mechanism identification)
The study program for R&D, D&C and M&O can be found under the AM-tab of the excel sheet on respectively:
An overview of all ME courses from which elective courses can be obtained can be found on: Subjects Mechanical Engineering
