Energy Technology Research Group

The research in the Energy Technology Group focuses on the thermal conversion processes of fuels. Here, the fundamental aspects of combustion, gasification and pyrolysis of biomass, waste and other fuels are studied experimentally. Furthermore, mathematical models are developed as a design tool for these thermal conversion processes.

Our ambition is To develop efficient, economical and sustainable thermal conversion processes of biomass, municipal wastes into fuel, heat and power using both lab scale and pilot plant scale equipment.
