Civil engineering and management
Research in the CEM department aims at acquiring qualitative and quantitative knowledge on the lifecycle of civil engineering systems and objects, these can be natural as rivers and coasts, as well as constructed ones in a societal and environmental context. Research concentrates on construction management and engineering, transport studies, river and coastal engineering and water management.
The CEM department is a leading civil engineering department in the Netherlands with about 50 fte academic staff, 5fte non-academic staff, 650 students (BSc & MSc), 15 EngD students, 75 PhD students and 10 Postdocs.
