Flat smart structures for active sound radiation controlSystems for active noise control and active sound control typically use loudspeakers asacoustic sources. In a substantial number of applications there is a need for a flat soundgenerating device in order to satisfy space limitations due to technical or aestheticrequirements. The research is focused on the development of a flat source structure drivenby multiple controlled actuators that can be used to realize a sound source capable ofgenerating low frequency sound of sufficient power to be useful for active noise controlapplications and audio reproduction.
