High-strength and Large Diameter Gas Pipe Bending for Large Deformation
It is difficult to bend a pipe without any physical damage. In case of large deformation of a gas pipe, buckling or other damages are the main phenomena. For large deformation, nonlinear phenomena is used for analysis. Moreover, large diameter pipe with small wall thickness is bent in large angle and for that case mandrel is necessary against the pipe wall for buckling prevention. The selection of mandrel material is extremely important with respect to the bending machine efficiency and the operation time framework.
