Amirhossein Mahtabani

Amirhossein was born in Ahvaz, Iran on January 13, 1990. After finishing high school at the National Organization for Developing Exceptional Talents (NODET) in 2008, he continued his studies as a bachelor student at University of Tehran, Iran in the field of polymer engineering until 2013. He obtained his master’s degree in 2015 at Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran also in polymer engineering with a thesis on “Effect of Polymer-Particle Interactions on Kinetics of Filler Network Formation and Nonlinear Viscoelastic Behavior of SBR/Silane-Modified Silica Vulcanizates”. He has published several journal and conference papers both during his undergraduate and graduate studies. He worked as a part time chemistry teacher in Tehran for two years during his master’s studies. He also worked as an inspection specialist at BSMI inspection company for 6 months in 2016.

Amir joined the ETE department on February 2017 as a PhD candidate, and he is currently working on surface modification of silica nano-particles to be used in HVDC cables through the EU project GRIDABLE.
