Priyanka Sekar

Priyanka was born in Tamil nadu, India on November 14, 1994. She obtained her bachelor of technology (B. Tech) degree in Rubber and Plastic technology with a thesis on “Developmental study of acrylic based-bone cement “ from Madras Institute of Technology, Anna university in 2016. In 2018, she received her master of technology (M.Tech.) degree in Rubber Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India.  She did her master’s thesis in RWTH Aachen university, Germany on “Process-Property study of  melt-spun thermoplastic polyurethane fibers” through DAAD-IIT master sandwich program.  She started at the ETE group, University of Twente as a PDeng trainee in May 2018. Her current topic of research was “Design of a bio-based filler for reinforcement of elastomers" in collaboration with SunCoal industries, Berlin, Germany. She successfully completed the PDEng in June 2020 after which she continued her study in ETE group as a PhD candidate working on understanding the reinforcing mechanism of lignin filled rubber compounds.
