Carmela Mangone

Carmela Mangone was born in Potenza (Italy) on October 28th, 1991. In the Elastomer Technology & Engineering group at Twente University, she is PDEng of Apollo Tyres Global R&D since October 2017, and is currently working on “Energy generating rubber compound”. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry on October 2014 and her Master’s Degree in Science and Technology of Industrial Chemistry on March 2017 (evaluation 110/110 cum laude), both at the University of Naples “Federico II”. The Bachelor’s thesis was about “Study of the attrition of pumice particles in fluidized bed” and the Master’s thesis was about “Removal of elemental mercury from flue gas model by regenerable manganese-based sorbents”, both in collaboration with Institute for Research on Combustion – National Research Council (IRC-CNR) in Naples (Italy). After graduation, she continued her Master’s research in the same Council for three months as internship post-graduate.
