Carmela Mangone

Carmela Mangone was born in Potenza (Italy) on October 28th, 1991. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry on October 2014 and her Master’s Degree in Science and Technology of Industrial Chemistry on March 2017 (evaluation 110/110 cum laude).

She joined ETE research group in October 2017 as a PDEng trainee working in a project in collaboration with Apollo Tyres Global R&D. The title of PDEng thesis is: ‘From Motion to Power: Designing an Innovative Piezo-Electric Based Energy Generating System for Tyres’.

Successfully completed the PDEng in October 2019, she decided to continue her study in ETE group and she is currently PhD candidate working on conductive elastomers and piezoelectric materials.
