Anmol Aggarwal was born in New Delhi, India on December 31, 1992. He obtained his Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Polymer Science & Chemical Technology from Delhi Technological University (formerly DCE), India in 2014. His thesis topic was 'Synthesis and Characterization of Natural Fiber-mediated Epoxy Composites'. Thereafter, he worked in synthetic paints manufacturing industry for 3 years. During the last year of his work, the company set up a new division for manufacturing of ‘Gel-back compound’ for machine-made carpets. This compound was based on natural rubber latex and high-solid SBR. The processing of this compound was a challenge and this made him very much interested in exploring different aspects in rubber technology. Therefore, in 2018, he decided to pursue MSc in Chemical Engineering at the University of Twente. He carried out his thesis titled ‘Fabrication of Rubber Bands for a Dynamic Arm-Supporting Device’ in the ETE group. He is currently with the group working towards his PhD on the topic “Quantification of the crosslinking-dependent and independent contributions to energy dissipation in silica-filled SBR and SSBR/BR blends” in collaboration with Trinseo Deutschland GmbH.
As a professional badminton and table-tennis player, he seeks opportunities to challenge his physical limits and strengthen his skills.
