Andrea Bernardi (born 29.08.1988 in Cattolica (RN), Italy) received his B. Sc. degree from Department of Industrial Chemistry “Toso Montanari” (University of Bologna, Italy), in the field of Industrial Chemistry in 2012.
In 2014, he did his Master internship at Unité de Catalyse et Chimie du Solide (University of Lille 1, France), and in March 2015 he obtained his M. Sc. in Industrial Chemistry from Department of Industrial Chemistry “Toso Montanari” (University of Bologna, Italy), with the thesis “Synthesis, characterization and catalytic performances of ruthenium-based catalysts in the acceptorless dehydrogenative coupling of n-butanol”.
Since April 2015, Andrea is working at Polytechnic University of Milan (Italy), firstly as a research fellow, in the field of chemical modification of plastic-made materials.
In May 2016 he started his PhD in the research group of Prof. M. Galimberti, dealing with the modification of fillers to enhance the dynamic-mechanical properties of elastomeric composites.
From September 2018 till March 2019 he was a guest researcher at University of Twente under the supervision of Prof. A. Blume.
