Lintjesregen!
On Friday 26 April, at the occasion of the ‘lintjesdag’, em. Prof. Jacques Noordermeer received a Royal Award. He got the title of ‘Officer of the order of Orange-Nassau’ for his social, scientific and educational activities. In the speech of the mayor of his home town, his achievements in terms of publications, patents and PhD’s were explicitly mentioned.
The ceremony took Jacques Noordermeer by surprise, and probably for the first time in his life he was rather speechless…
