Masaki Sato was born in Miyagi, Japan on 7th of October 1981. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in material science and chemical engineering from Yokohama National University, Japan in 2004. In 2006, he received his master of engineering degree in Electronic Chemistry from Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan. His master’s thesis was on “Photochemical Generation and Detection of Reactive Oxygen Species in Aqueous Media’’. Then he joined The Yokohama Rubber Company Ltd. and was mainly in charge of development of new tread compound and technology for passenger car tires. He started at the ETE group, University of Twente in January 2015 as a PhD student under the contract between University of Twente and The Yokohama Rubber Company Ltd. on the subject ‘’Understanding the reinforcement mechanism of silica-filled rubber as influenced by processing parameters’’.
