Surface Modification Systems for Creating Stimuli Responsiveness of Textiles
Location: Vrijhof Amphitheater, University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands
Date: Thursday, 25 November 2010
Time: 09.30 - 17.00
On occasion of ending the Advanbiotex project (2006 - 2010) and in order to stress the importance of knowledge-based textile materials for European textile industry, the workshop takes stimuli-responsive textiles as its theme.
The event is aimed at professionals with expertise and interest in advanced textiles. It is expected to create as much as possible awareness of the interested parties in industry, academic institutions, other research institutions, end users and authorities for the Advanbiotex project, giving the insight to ideas and concepts that its results offer.
All project team members will give the presentations on this occasion to summarize the achievements and highlight the facts on the work done. The international projection will be enhanced by the presence of eminent invited speakers who are active outside the project in the same area of expertise.
The event will be followed by the Advanbiotex dinner (18.00 - 20.30) in the nearby Hotel De Broeierd.
The workshop is hosted by the Engineering of Fibrous Smart Materials (EFSM) group (Prof. Dr. Marijn M.C.G. Warmoeskerken, Scientist in Charge of Advanbiotex) of the University of Twente and organized by the Advanbiotex Team (Dr. Dragan Jocic, Advanbiotex Team Leader).
The financial support is provided by Marie Curie Excellence Grant (EXT) project ADVANBIOTEX (MEXT-CT-2006-042641), funded by the EU’s Sixth Framework Programme.
