INTRODUCTION
This project examines how underserved communities can be more actively engaged in the design, delivery, and evaluation of community-based technology education programs. The project places emphasis on amplifying the voices of marginalized communities, including the ‘silent voices’ in identifying appropriate technologies that directly impact their livelihoods and resilience. The ultimate aim is to co-develop a contextual framework for just community technology education that enahances productivity and sustainability in underserved settings. A focus is placed on how appropriate technologies like water conservation systems, renewable energy, and agricultural innovations improve livelihoods, resilience and overall well-being, highlighting just community-based technology education as crucial in empowering underserved communities with sustainable solutions.
