Modular Integrated Sustainable Datacentres (MISD)
recovering and upgrading waste heat from data centers with advanced thermochemical reactors
The goal of Modular Integrated Sustainable Datacentres (MISD) is to develop thermochemical heat storage (TCHS) systems to enable waste heat recovery from data centres’ cooling systems contributing to the sustainability of information processing technologies.
To address the project requirement to ensure an optimal solution, the highly conductive porous metal structure fabricated by 3D printing can be introduced with TCMs salts to support the process that can provide continuous heat-flow pathways within the bed while maintaining heat and mass transport.
MISD project funded by the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate under the European Important Projects of Common European Interest - Cloud Infrastructure and Services (IPCEI-CIS) program for 2024-2029. The consortium consists of Asperitas, BetterBe, Deerns, Eurofiber, NBIP (National Internet Providers Management Organization), TNO and the University of Twente (Ref: https://www.utwente.nl/en/misd/).For further clarification and detailed information regarding the project, kindly contact:
