Field research in Kunduz Afghanistan – by Julia Wijnmaalen September 2012
Field research is what makes research interesting; it is the reason I wanted to start a PhD.
So, when I finally got my clearance and was able to travel to Afghanistan for a field visit I was very happy.
The goal of the field visit was to observe the cooperation within a Dutch military construction multi-team system on the military base of Kunduz.
The visit really put the collected data into perspective and also shed some new light on the issue, so it was very useful. Additionally it was also very nice to finally see and be in the environment that I have heard so much about in the last two and half years.
