Circular Design guideline launched
The construction industry has a poor track record in terms of waste production, resource extraction and environmental impact. These problems can be traced back to the way constructions are traditionally being designed. Frontrunners in the industry have therefore come together under the umbrella of Platform CB’23 to make national agreements about alternative, ‘circular’ ways of designing constructions. This has resulted in a new Circular Design guideline that is officially launched on July 1st.
CME member Marc van den Berg has chaired one of the platform’s working groups (on roles and collaboration).
