”The impact of digitalization on accessibility”
We are pleased to announce that the editorial of the Transportation Research Part A special issue ”The impact of digitalization on accessibility” has been published. The special issue was edited by Joris Beckers, Elnert Coenegrachts (University of Antwerp), Ahmed El-Geneidy (McGill University) and Karst Geurs. The special issue is output of a NECTAR cluster 6 workshop hosted by the University of Antwerp, 12-13 October 2023. The seven contributions in the special issue mark an important step toward a more integrated understanding of how digitalization reshapes accessibility, and highlight the urgency of embedding these insights in future urban and transport planning. The issue addresses the need to revise accessibility metrics to include both digitalization and traditional parameters, incorporating also long term impacts. Link: https://lnkd.in/euA257ak.
