Special Issue publication alert! Karst is pleased the see the editorial of the special issue Accessibility equity and transport-related social Inclusion published, co-authored with fellow guest editors Yang HU, Jie Gao and Steven Farber.
This special issue published in Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment welcomed original research articles with novel contributions to the analysis of accessibility equity and social inclusion. The seventeen papers included in this special issue cover diverse geographic contexts across the globe and provide in-depth analysis of complex relationships between accessibility and transport-related social exclusion from multiple perspectives. The studies included in this special issue can be broadly categorized into three themes: (1) research focusing on transport accessibility and mobility experiences of specific population groups, including children and elderly, (2) studies employing subjective perspectives to assess accessibility; and (3) investigations exploring interventions to reduce accessibility inequalities.
