Collaboration on research
Following our engaged scholarship approach we often collaborate closely with actors from the field in our research activities. We have longstanding relationships with municipalities, provinces, ministries, asset managers, engineering firms, contractors, consultants, product suppliers, knowledge institutes, and other organisations. Collaboration on education
Education of the University of Twente is challenge-based and project-driven. The IPD group provides education for several Bachelor modules and Master courses in the Civil Engineering curriculum. In our teaching we often use real-case projects where students can learn about challenges in the professional work field. Or we invite professionals for gueast lectures. Many of our students take an internship at international and national organisations or universities or choose to graduate on a topic that is commissioned by an external organisation.
