BIOGRAPHY
Hi there, my name is Mark! I was born in Enschede in 1989, but grew up in one of the smaller neighboring villages. In 2007 I started my study in biomedical engineering here at the University of Twente, and graduated in December 2012 (cum laude). The goal of my master assignment was to come up with a model that could predict a suitable foot placement location and swing time during walking. I am currently working on the BALANCE project, which aims to develop a powered lower extremity exoskeleton that assists humans in maintaining balance. My main task is to find out and model how humans maintain their balance.
