BIOGRAPHY
My name is Alfred Schouten and I was born in 1972 in Dordrecht, The Netherlands. I studied mechanical engineering at the Delft University of Technology (MSc 1999), where I also did my PhD-project on spinal reflexes in neurological disorders (PhD 2004). In Delft I founded the Delft Laboratory for Neuromuscular Control. In 2007 I became an assistant professor at the Delft University of Technology. Since 2007 I can be found at the University of Twente for 1 day per week.
