Running the Batavierenrace with 25 Biomechanical Engineering colleagues and ... a hip exoskeleton

The Batavierenrace is always a unique event, but this year it became even more special. Our team Beyond limits, completed 13 of the 25 stages (over 100 km) while using a hip exoskeleton.

In “eco” mode, running felt easier, while “turbo” mode provided a real boost in speed. An interesting side effect: it also had a positive effect on fellow runners as they became more motivated, you don’t want to be beaten by someone using an exoskeleton
