Dr. Fay Claybrook is a post-doctoral researcher in biomechanical engineering at the University of Twente, where she works at the intersection of mechanical engineering, material science, and medicine. Her expertise lies in elastomeric tissue replication and medical simulation, with a focus on developing functionally accurate phantoms for artificial organs within the Engineering Organ Support Technologies Group and the Cardiovascular Innovation Lab.
Her work exemplifies how advanced additive manufacturing can directly impact patient care — bridging engineering innovation with real clinical needs.
As Co-Ambassador for Women in 3D Printing Netherlands, Fay is passionate about:

• Elevating underrepresented voices in engineering
