Raj Thilak Rajan received his M.Sc. (with distinction) and his B.Sc. (with distinction) in Electronic science from University of Pune, India in 2006 and 2004 respectively. From 2007 to 2008, he worked at INFN and Politecnico di Bari, Italy under the MIUR and INFN fellowships, and was a visiting researcher at CERN, Switzerland for the Large Hadron Collider project. During the period 2008-2014, he was a Digital signal processing engineer at the Netherlands institute for Radio astronomy (ASTRON), The Netherlands.
Since December 2014, he is a Researcher at the Telecommunication Engineering Group at the University of Twente, Enschede, The Netherlands. He is also presently a PhD candidate with the Circuits and Systems group at TU Delft (since 2010) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Ir. Alle-Jan van der Veen, where he works on the signal processing (and system) aspects of the OLFAR project (Orbiting low frequency antennas for radio astronomy). More specifically, his thesis topic is “Joint localization and synchronization algorithms for anchorless networks”.
His research interests lie in statistical signal processing, in particular Estimation theory, with applications to wireless networks and communication.
