Mohammad Poordaraee received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST), Tehran, Iran, in 2013 and 2017, respectively. Where he was Microwave Lab instructor in 2017. From 2015 to 2018 he was with Electromagnetic Engineering Research Laboratory (EMER Lab) at IUST as Antenna and Microwave component designer.
He served as invited reviewer at IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters (AWPL) and also as scientific committee member of 4th International Conference on Knowledge-Based Engineering and Innovation in 2017. He won the bronze medal in Iranian National Physics Olympiad and was enrolled as member of Iran's National Elites Foundation in 2007.
He is currently pursuing his PhD studies under supervision of Professor Andrés Alayón Glazunov at University of Twente, Enschede, Netherlands. His PhD research is focused on development of the massive MIMO antennas at mm-wave band for future communications. His research interests include, but are not limited to gap waveguides, mm-wave antennas, Characteristic Modes Theory, Frequency Selective Surfaces (FSS), massive MIMO and 5G systems.
