manufacturing submission form

Welcome to the manufacturing submission form in SmartXP. Use the form on the following page to send your design to the technicians. On this page, please indicate whether you would like to submit for 3D printing or laser cutting

* Please also indicate whether you know how to format your design for manufacturing! It is essential for a successful production of your design. If not, please follow the manufacturing guide closely; it provides all the necessary information

Manufacturing Guide

Need to know how to format a design for manufacturing?
Follow this guide

Key constraints to design within:

  • Maximum bed size: 600mm x 1000mm
  • Material thickness range: typically 2mm to 10mm
  • Minimum feature size: confirm with a technician for fine detail work

Useful conventions:

  • Red lines are cut all the way through
  • Blue lines are scored or etched (shallow line marks)
  • Black areas are engraved (the surface is removed but the material isn't cut through)

Use this form to submit your design for production at SmartXP. Before submitting, please make sure you have prepared your file according to the Manufacturing Guide (correct format, colour conventions, hairline lines, no duplicate geometry)

Once submitted, you'll receive automated updates as your design moves through the production process. Your contact preferences below will determine how the technicians respond if any issues are found.

important:

The software cannot process files with specific characters. For example, "test(1).pdf" will NOT work
Make sure your design files do not contain the "(1)" before the file type!: "test.pdf" will work
