The aim of this master thesis research is to describe a logical process of making decisions for how to manage the design challenges related to communication between, integration and management of microservices. The research is motivated by the claim that microservices are a practical way of implementing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for complex systems, such that these systems are easier to modify or upgrade over time. A methodology for API manament in a microservice architecture will be developed, and subsequently validated using a real-world Thales Navel use case.
